Princely nuptials: Neipperg-Lobkowicz

Imagine  three of your children getting married in the same year with two brides and one groom competing for family attention.  On May 30,  Countess Hemma von Neipperg, fourth child of the Hereditary Count and Countess of Neipperg,  married Roman Keno Specht.   She was soon followed down the aisle by her older brother, Count Dominik, who married Princess Maria Anna of Salm-Salm on August 4.

Less than a month after Dominik's wedding, the youngest of the Neippergs' five children, Countess Katharina, married Prince Wenzel Lobkowiz on September 1 in Drahenice, Czech Republic.  The couple's civil marriage took place at Schwaigern on August 30.

Prince Wenzel's father owns a castle complete with a "magnificent estate"  in Drahenice, a small town in Bohemia.

The Neippergs' eldest son, Count Philipp, married Paula Wolff in April 2008.  They have two children.

The second son, Count Benedikt, remains unmarried.

Prince Wenzel is the fifth of seven children of Prince Johannes Lobkowicz and his wife Countess Johanna zu Castell-Castell.  He is a first cousin of his new sister-in-law, Princess Maria Anna, as their mothers, Johanna and Philippa are twins.  Both sisters were married in 1977 to Prince Johannes Lobkowicz and Prince Michael zu Salm-Salm, respectively.

The Hereditary Countess of Neipperg was born Archduchess Andrea of Austria, eldest daughter of the late Archduke Otto and Princess Regina of Saxe-Meiningen.
