Abruzzi leaves for Africa

November 6, 1919

The Associated Press reports (based on a dispatch from October 20) that the Duke of the Abruzzi and his party have sailed for Africa and will make an effort "discover the sources" of the Wehi Shebeli River, which flows from Abyssinia through Italian Somilialand and into the Indian Ocean. The Duke, who is a cousin of King Victor Emanuel, left Naples and is now en route to Mogadishu.
